其中,问题1、2、3、4、5相对简单,比较适合英语基础差的学生,只要细心,就能轻而易举地在课文中找到问题的答案;问题6、7、8相对偏难,问题的答案需要根据课文内容将语言重新加工,比较适合英语基础好的学生。当然,我们也可以将较难的问题分解为若干个小问题,使之简单化。比如,问题8可以进一步分成以下几问:
Is it a good idea to built houses along the lines where two of the earth's plates join together?
Is it a good idea to build houses on sand?
Can weak buildings stay up in an earthquake?
三、灵活运用多种提问方法
教师要活跃课堂气氛,驾驭学生思维,丰富课堂教学内容,就必须灵活运用多种提问方法,提问的方法有以下几种:
单个回答——由个别学生单独回答某个问题。
小组讨论——由小组成员集体讨论,最后由小组代表回答,其他成员补充。
全班讨论——全班同学共同讨论同一问题,各抒己见,最终得出统一答案。
例如,在讲授高二英语上册的Lesson 34 EARTH、AIR与WATER三篇短文时,可以穿插以下的一些问题:

2.What are the causes of air pollution?
3.What is the general cause of water pol
