在监狱中西德尼即将换出达内尔时，他让达内尔写给露西“‘Ifyouremenber……thewordsthatpassedbetweenus,longago,youwillreadilycomprehendthiswhenyouseeit.Youdorememberthem,Iknow.Itisnotinyournaturetoforgetthem.’”我看到这一段时，不禁热泪盈眶。这是一种多么深厚的爱情啊！西德尼相信，露西会记得他的告白，他们之间的约定。哪怕牺牲自己的生命，他也毫无怨言。
