Expression of telomerase and PCNA protein in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma tissue and its significance
【Abstract】 AIM: To study the expression of telomerase and PCNA protein in four different pathological types of advanced esophageal cell cancer. METHODS: One hundred and twentysix cases with esophageal cancer of different pathological types were included in study by immunohistochemistry and the results were analyzed by SPSS 10.0. RESULTS: The positive rates of telomerase expression and PCNA were 60.0% (18/30) and 83.3% (25/30) in fungating type, 75.0% (21/28) and 78.5% (22/28) in constrictive type, 75.0% (24/32) and 15.6% (5/32) in ulcerative type and 44.4% (16/36) and PCNA 77.8% (28/36) in medullary type.
