承受与抗争—论长篇小说《平

摘   要

路遥的长篇小说《平凡的世界》对“土地”的描写是深切的。“土地”在作品中的1些人物身上已经转化为1种人格基因，也内化为1种精神——承受与抗争。《平凡的世界》中平凡的人群对生存的承受与抗争、对爱情的执着与眷守、对人生的叛逆与眷恋都展现出了他们所具有的“土地精神”。这种精神既是苦难的农民能够对抗焦灼的生存的信念源泉，同时也是他们能够变革自己命运的精神动力。他们正是以此精神来变革自己的命运，同时也以此精神反思城市文明，从而追求更高的生活意义。正是乡村人的这种“土地精神”才使《平凡的世界》具有长久的艺术魅力。

ABSTRACT

    The description of the land in Lu Yao’s novel Ordinary World is profound and sincere. The consciousness of land has molted into these creatures’ personality, and also internalized as a spirit-- withstanding and resisting. In this work, we can see the withstanding and resisting against fate, the rigidity and dependence on love, and the rebel and attachment to life. And all of these unfold “the spirit of land” that the ordinary crowd own. This spirit is not only the belief source of survival of the miserable farmers to resist the deeply worried, but also the energetic power that can transform their destiny. It is just this spirit that they used to transform their destiny and at the same time to rethink the city civilization, thus to pursue the higher significance of life. This lasting artistic charm just lies in “the spirit of land” bear by the villagers in the novel.
