An Analysis of Translation Techniques of Business English

Abstract

With the development of globalization, exchanges of economy and culture among different countries are becoming more and more frequent. Business English translation, as a tool and bridge of communication, plays a significant role in this course. This thesis analyzes some of the typical techniques widely employed in translation and is a systematic study of the translation techniques in business English, which aims to achieve a better understanding of business English translation techniques.
Firstly, this thesis briefly describes some related conception of business English translation, and those specific theories and criteria for the translation of business English. Secondly, this thesis discusses from words to sentences with the support of many examples to analyze on translation techniques of business English. Then, this thesis provides two specific examples to illustrate the general translation techniques and to apply the theory to practice, so as to exemplify the various situations that may occur in business English. Business English refers to translation activities involved in business operation. It has made and will continuously make great contributions to the development of economy, science and technology in China.

摘 要

随着全球化的发展,世界各国之间的经济文化交流日趋频繁。商务英语翻译作为交流手段和媒介在这1过程中发挥了至关重要的作用。本文是通过1些典型的商务英语翻译技巧的分析和对商务英语翻译技巧的系统研究，旨在对商务英语翻译技巧有1个更好的理解。
    本文首先简单介绍了商务英语翻译的相关概念，以及具体适用于国际商务英语翻译的理论标准。其次，主要从词,句角度进行了商务英语翻译技巧的具体分析，并以大量例子作为支持。最后，本文通过翻译两篇特定实例进1步介绍理论联系实践的具体运用。对商务英语中出现的各种情况作充分的说明。并指出商务英语翻译指涉及商务运作的1切翻译活动，1直以来为中国经济、科技等方面的发展作出不可多得的贡献。
