从女权主义的角度看《红字》中的郝斯特

Analyzing Hester in The Scarlet Letter from the Perspective of Feminism

Abstract

   Hawthorne has been playing a very important role in the literature history of the world, whose novel The Scarlet Letter has widely attracted people’s attention. This thesis is to explore the character of Hester by using the feminsim theories and mothodologies. Therefore, the faminism theories and methodologies are given in the thesis. In order to analyze her character well, some of information about Hawthorne’s family, political and religious background is introduced in the thesis since his background has close relationship with Hester’s character. Hawthorne’s living background natures his deep concern for women’s lives. His contemporary ideological revolution has brought influential impact on his attitude towards women. The main part of the thesis is to analyze Hester’s character through analyzing her brevity, treachery and individuality. From the analysis of her character, the image of Hester Prynne as a strong woman looking forward to the equality between men and women is definite.

摘 要

霍桑是109世纪世界文学史上的1位重要人物，他的《红字》1直以来受到人们的广泛关注。本通过运用某些女权主义的理论和方法论来分析郝斯特的性格特点。因此，介绍了各个流派相关的女权主义理论和方法论，特别是1些女权主义者们的某些著作和他们各自的观点。为了更好的分析她的性格，阐述了霍桑的家庭、政治和宗教背景，他的生活背景使他对女性生活非常关注。当时的思维改革对他的女性观点也有很大的影响。的主体部分通过分析郝斯特的勇敢、叛逆和自律来达到分析这位女权主义先驱性格的目的。通过这些分析，具有女权主义意识的霍桑所塑造的郝斯特作为1个追求男女平等的强女人形象跃然纸面。
