论《蝇王》中的异化主题

On the theme of alienation as seen in Lord of the Flies

Abstract

As a famous novel of the world literature, Lord of the Flies represents William Golding’s utmost achievement in fiction. Researchers are familiar with his undisguised description about symbolization in the novel, but pay less attention to the theme of alienation he wrote in the novel. This thesis will explore William Golding’s unique writing angle in writing the alienation theme. It is divided into three parts. The first part introduces the original concept of alienation. The second part analyzes the theme of alienation in this novel. It is in three aspects—alienation between human beings, between human and himself, between human and nature. The third part studies the importance of alienation theme in this novel. William Golding uses alienation to develop the plot, imply characters’ inner mind, emphasize characters’ image and highlight character’s personality.

摘  要

《蝇王》是1部誉满全球的小说，代表了威廉•戈尔丁小说写作的最高成就。人们熟知他在这部小说中象征手法的精彩运用，却较少注意到他小说中所反映出的异化主题。本文将对作品中异化主题进行分析。文章分为3个部分。第1部分介绍“异化”概念的起源及其发展。第2部分从人与人、人与自我、人与自然3个方面揭示异化主题在《蝇王》中的具体体现。第3部分则从（推动情节发展、暗示人物心理、强化人物形象）3个方面阐述异化主题的运用在小说中的意义。
