[摘 要] 介绍了隐喻应用于词汇教学的理论基础及其作用: 隐喻认知对词汇语义范畴发展的作用;隐喻认知在词汇隐喻概念理解中的作用;隐喻认知对词义发展的作用。指出其对词汇教学的启示:重视基本范畴词汇的教学,重视词汇隐喻意义和隐喻扩展义的教学,和重视词汇文化内涵的教学。 [关键词]隐喻理论;词汇教学;作用;启示 Abstract:The paper discusses metaphor theory of cognitive linguistics as well as its significance for vacabulary teaching: in the development of vacabulary semantic category, in the understanding of vocabulary metaphor concept, in the development of vocabulary meaning. In the vacabulary teaching, the following enlightenments should be seriously taken into consideration: basic category vacabulary, vacabulary metaphor meaning and metaphor extending meaning, and vacabulary cultural connotation.
