On Spoken English Classroom Teaching in Elementary Schools
Abstract
According to the requirements of Ministry of Education, Chinese students should study English from Grade 3 in elementary schools. So some research about spoken English classroom teaching becomes deeper and deeper than before. In this thesis, the author analyzes the present situation and the features of spoken English teaching in Chinese elementary schools in the first two parts, and in the third part, according to the author’s experience and Zhong Yiping’s “children’s psychology theory”, the author analyzes and proposes three useful teaching approaches: imitation, picture description, and interaction in groups which meet the requirements of situational teaching method, task-based teaching method, communicative teaching method respectively. Meanwhile, the author also sets several examples in this thesis to show how to practice these teaching methods, in the hope of giving some suggestions in spoken English teaching in elementary schools.

摘 要
根据教育部的要求,我国基础教育阶段从小学3年级开设英语课程。随着小学英语课的逐步推广,关于小学英语教学方面的讨论和研究不断深入。本文正是从分析小学英语口语教学的现状及重要意义入手,并结合小学生英语学习的特点和自身的教学经验,以培养小学生英语学习兴趣,探索小学生英语学习方法为出发点,通过分析指出:图片描述教学方式、模仿教学方式、小组活动教学方式分别体现了任务型教学法、情景教学法、交际教学法的要求,而且这些方式在激发小学生英语学习的兴趣,培养学生英语口语能力方面能起到较好的效果。
