科技术语的英汉翻译与形象思维

English-Chinese Translation of Technical Terminology and Image Thinking

Abstract

Technical terminology refers to the professional terms of science and technology. With the development of science and technology, new achievements, new innovations, new discoveries and new creations emerge one after another, thus more and more technical terminologies are established in many fields. Therefore, the translation of technical terminologies becomes more and more important and urgent. The importance of translating technical terms requires that translation should be very accurate. This thesis begins from the features of technical terminologies, combining with lots of relevant examples, and then discusses the methods and principles of English-Chinese translation of technical terminology. In addition, image thinking plays a very important role in translating technical terminology, thus making full use of image thinking can help to translate technical terminology accurately.

摘 要

科技术语是指科学技术方面的专业性术语。随着科学技术的发展，新成就、新发明、新发现和新创见层出不穷，新的科技词汇也随之源源不断地产生，于是在各个领域都产生了大量的科技术语。科技术语的翻译也越来越重要。科技术语的重要性要求术语翻译要严格遵守翻译的信息等值性标准，即对目的语的翻译时要保持原语的信息量，不误译和欠译。本文从术语的特点分析入手，结合了大量的相关例子，就科技术语翻译的几种译法、要遵循的原则以及形象思维进行了探讨。希望本文能在科技术语翻译方面有所帮助。
