英汉颜色词跨域对比分析—以RED和红为例

A Contrastive Analysis of Cross-domains of English and Chinese Color Words :
 Taking “RED” and “红” for Example
Abstract

Every object in the world has its color. Therefore, a magnitude of color terms has appeared both in English and Chinese. Color, as an important aspect of human experience, has been explored by many linguists, but most of the studies just describe the linguistic phenomenon rather than explain the underlying cognitive mechanisms. 
This thesis makes a complete and detailed corpus analysis of color words “red” and “红” from the angle of the cognitive view and displays both similarities and differences of domains of “red” and “红” in English and Chinese. After a comparative study, we can generalize the definition of “red” and “红” in English and Chinese. English and Chinese are both among the widely used languages in the world. Theoretically and practically, it is of great significance to analyze and compare English and Chinese color terms comprehensively.

摘 要

世界上的所有物质都有自己的颜色，因此，在英汉语中出现了大量的颜色词。作为人类生活的1个重要方面，颜色词已经被众多的语言学者所研究。但是众多的研究仅仅停留在研究语言现象，而没有从人类认知的角度来分析。
本文从认知的角度对语料“red”与“红”进行调查分析，发现在英、汉语中“red”与“红”所使用的认知域的相同点和不同点，通过对比研究最终归纳出颜色词“red”和“红”的定义。英语和汉语都是世界上应用广泛的语言，所以对两种语言中的颜色词进行对比研究应该具有重要的意义。
