The Application of Task-based Language Teaching Method to English Reading Teaching in Senior Middle School
Abstract
Reading is a basic and widely adopted approach to get information and obtain knowledge by people. The cultivation of English reading competence is a major part of language skills teaching objects, especially to senior school students. To fit for the serious demands of reading comprehension ability, “The New English Curriculum Standards” issued by ministry of education puts forward: “advocate Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT) approach, to develop students’ language comprehension applying ability” (中华人民共和国教育部 57). Task-based Language Teaching method which is based on sufficient study and practice is the teaching theory of great effect raised by foreign language teaching researchers and second language acquisition researchers in the 1980’s. It stresses on the communicative information, but not language form. This thesis, from the perspective of TBLT theory, tries to design the reading tasks in the sample, aims to explore the practical meaning of reading teaching based on TBLT by action research, in the hope of making a meaningful study to improve the present reading teaching of senior middle school.

摘 要
阅读是人类获得知识和信息最常用最基本的方法,英语阅读能力的培养是语言技能教学目标中的1个很重要的组成部分,特别是对于高中生而言. 为了适应对高中英语阅读能力的高要求,中华人民共和国教育部在《英语课程标准》中明确提出:“倡导任务型教学法,以培养学生综合英语运用能力”。 任务型教学法是210世纪810年代外语教育研究者和第2语言习得研究者在大量研究和实践的基础上提出的具有重要影响力的教学理论。它强调信息交际而不是语言形式。本文从任务型教学理论的角度出发, 试图在英语阅读教学的案例中设计阅读任务,目的是通过行动研究法来探索任务型阅读教学的实践意义,以期对高中英语阅读教学状况的改善做出有意义的研究。
