Pragmatic Analysis in Business English
Abstract
China has entered into WTO,and then business communication and cooperation are more and more frequently between China and other countries. It puts forward the high requirement on efficiency and application business communication. The pragmatic analysis and research on business English makes success of business cooperation. There are several kinds of business English that are negotiating English, advertising English and foreign trade English. The utterance and words in these communicating English can show the application of pragmatics in business English. Hence, it can help us to understand the features of business English when we research these three kinds of English with pragmatics.
This thesis will start with three pragmatics principles and make analysis on pragmatics features, functions and applications of business English. The words in business English should be definite and clear. But in different occasions, some vague utterance can also make a successful communication and cooperation. In this thesis, the author will also make some researches on vague language application in business English.

摘 要
随着中国加入WTO,中国与国际间的商务交流日益频繁。这便对商业交流的效度提出了更高的要求。我们对商务英语进行语用分析与研究,有助于商务合作的顺利与成功。谈判英语、广告英语以及外贸英语是商务英语的几大类别,他们的用语以及交际语言特点,体现了语用学在商务英语中的应用,因此,结合语用学对这3大类别分别做出分析,有助于我们理解商务英语的特点。
本文将从语用学中的这3条语用原则出发,对商务英语的语用特点,功能与应用进行分析。商务英语要求用语准确、简明,但在不同的场合下,1定的模糊用语也能促进商务交流与合作的成功。本文也将对模糊用语在商务英语中的应用加以探讨。
