Abstract
The former senior English teaching material is not suitable for the improvement of the students’ mind and knowledge and also to a certain extent blocks the development of the quality-oriented education, so it is of great necessity for the new senior English teaching material to be adopted, and the studies on the new senior English teaching material is very popular both at home and abroad. Based on the function and characteristic of the expressing way of the content, the narration method of SEFC teaching material can be divided into introducing objectively, explaining subjectively and open discussion and criticism. The paper probes into the characteristics, function, and current problems of these three ways with real cases.

摘 要
旧的高中英语新教材已不利于学生思维和知识性的进1步提高,同时对素质教育的全面发展也起到了1定的阻碍作用, 因此高中英语新教材的编订势在必行, 同时国内外对高中英语新教材的研究也日益流行, 本文作者在大量阅读和参考与教材评论和教育理论相关文献的基础上, 填补了前人的研究空白,从内容的表达方式与展现功能的特点,英语教科书的叙述方式可以分为客观介绍方式,主观解释方式,开放讨论与批判方式。 作者还进1步分析和探讨这3种方式的表达特点,功能作用,现状问题和实际案例。
